1 Kings 3:9 Solomon asked God for "... an understanding heart."

Understanding is more important than Knowledge and Wisdom. Why? Because understanding is the bridge of truth between knowledge and wisdom. Without understanding: the ability to comprehend, interpret, discern meaning, and make sense of your knowledge. Wisdom will faulter.

In Matthew 13, Jesus quotes Isaiah, talking about people who hear but don't understand. Jesus diagnoses the problem. It's not their ears, it's not their intelligence, it's their heart. ...

Head knowledge must lead to heart understanding.
